HELP Searching

You can find the search page by clicking on the search menu and choosing it, or from the main page, by clicking the search option in the features box. Clicking here will also open the search page

When searching for a property, its important to fill in the boxes carefully. Here are some tips

  1. Try the search with the default values first. Just change the location box to the one you are looking for. Then you will see your search has worked. Once you know it works, you can be more specific.
  2. Do not change the postcode box unless you are looking for a specific postcode area, and you know what the postcode is.
  3. Do not enter an exact postcode into the box. Just enter part of it. For example, SW1 1AB is too specific, but if you just put SW1, then all properties in SW1 will come up. Even better is SW. Please note though, if you put location as Aberdeen, and postcode SW, you will not get any properties displayed, because SW is a London postcode, and its highly unlikely there's a property for sale in the Aberdeen location with a London postcode!
  4. Do not be too specific with property type, some people place their property in the "Other" category, even if its a semi-detached house... so often its best to leave the property type box set to "Any"
  5. The price range boxes must contain only numeric characters, although a decimal point and commas are allowed.
